the 4 masters

Hi, welcome to Tommy Dunbar Music. I started playing music at the age of 7 (that’s me on the drums, before switching to guitar) and have been at it ever since. I often think I’m the luckiest person on the planet to be doing what I love for a living. My work includes writing and recording jingles for radio and T.V., scoring to picture, and helping songwriters take their ideas from demos to fully realized productions. I’ve also been playing all over the world with my band The Rubinoos since 1970! If you’ve got something musical I can help you with, please write or give me a call!

  1. Tommy,
We attended last nights performance of 5 songs. Enjoyed it very much and particularly enjoyed listening to your sweet sounds on that most beautiful Gibson. I am a new fan now and will be checking out your podcast as well. Play on and keep doing what you do.

    1. Hi Tony,

Thanks for the kind words, glad you liked the show! That Gibson is an odd one, it’s a 1963 L4 and it started life as an acoustic. I found it at Griffin Guitars in Palo Alto and they put a pickup on it for me, a floating one that doesn’t touch the body, so it doesn’t affect the acoustic tone. That might be more information than you wanted though!

Thanks for coming to the show!
